Day 2
Energy was good, tummy was still on the fritz from my weekend indulgence, but when I did eventually feel hungry, I ate. Here's what I had:
TL: Purple Potatoes & Poached Egg Breakfast TR:Berry Grain Bowl with Chicken
BL:Beet Hummus & Carrots & Snap Peas BR: Curry Turkey Meatballs
Everything has been so good! People tend to have this preconceived notion that healthy food can't or just doesn't taste good. That hasn't been my experience this week. I do understand that we are creatures of habit and may be leery of what we aren't used to eating. To be quite honest, I raised my people eyebrow at the Beet Hummus, but let me set all concerns aside, it was fantastic and I didn't even think I like beets. Wow!
Day 3
Brain fog and irritability on fleek, are we still using that? Anywho, I digress. I expected this, as its not my first rodeo with detoxing. Today was by far was one of the foggiest days I've experienced while doing a cleanse. Maybe throw in a little seasonal affective disorder and yeah, perfect recipe for a poo poo day. I couldn't find my rhythm at work, I felt like I was constantly spinning my wheels in the mud and getting nowhere fast. I missed today's TRX class at Sweat Society and now I am home, in my pajamas pouring my feelings into this post. I feel like I failed day 3. Better luck tomorrow. Send me good vibes. Here's what I ate:
TL: Protein Breakfast Porridge TR: Gut Healing Vietnamese Pho
BL:Granola, Berries & Coconut Yogurt BR: Curry Turkey Meatball Leftovers
No complaints on this days meals either. If you know me, you know how pho-real I am about my Chicken Pho! This gut healing revision that Jessica made did NOT disappoint. Obviously the meatballs were so nice, that I ate 'em twice!
...and that's a wrap, see ya'll tomorrow!
