Days 4 + 5 - Last 30 Days

Mercury retrograde, detox brain, bad juju  - you name it, Day 4 had it.  It was basically Day 3 reincarnate.  I somehow muddled through, unscathed and am glad it's over.  Here's a little recap:

Day 4

Breakfast - skipped. I wasn't feeling it, but by 10:30, I felt every empty corner of my stomach searching for the tiniest morsel!  I was hangry!  I'm pretty sure that this lovely grain & fruit bar saved my life.  I was one stomach growl away from death -- maybe I exaggerate, maybe not, guess we'll never know.

I also made Jessica's Chicken Fajita Bowl, which was a hit!  I love a recipe that doesn't make you a slave to the kitchen.  It was quick, painless and of course delicious!

Day 5

Back to smooth sailing.  I felt great. Here's what I ate:

Breakfast - fruit and spinach smoothie with a little collagen protein boost.  This was recommended by Haley at Sweat Society as it has numerous benefits.  This is Vital Proteins Collagen Powder, buy it here.  It's flavorless and can be mixed in anything.   A great way to sneak some healthy in.

Repairs your gut health, strengthens hair, skin + nails, prevents joint pain, weight management, protects your heart, supports bone repair and improves liver function.

Lunch - Fall Salad with Chicken.  I was reluctant, it had beets and I don't like beets.  At least I thought I didn't, but I have a rule, at least one bite.  I stand by it, even when no one is looking and today was no different.

I chopped the chicken, carefully poured the dressing and began to gently toss the salad, all to buy time before actually tasting the salad.  My first bite turned into a second which turned into an empty salad bowl.  I'm not sure if I only like Jessica's beets or all beets, but they were FABULOUS!!  I found myself seaching for a bite of beet with every forkful.  Yum.

I may eat out for dinner, but will keep it healthy, I promise.

See ya'll next time.
