When you walk into the V-Spot Body Lounge Salon and Spa, you immediately get a luxe and fabulous, high quality feeling. The black and aubergine décor coupled with a splash of bling here and there, really set the tone for the excellent service that you'll receive. The complimentary snacks that were offered were just as nice. A delicious Sangria, cheese, fruit and cheese cake were on the menu.

Inspired by an ancient ritual known as "chai-yok" practiced for many years in Korea, the V-Spot Treatment is a service for the vaginal area that involves sitting on an open seat chair utilizing steam and natural herbs for detoxification and medicinal helping to regulate menstrual cycles, detoxifying the body, and aiding in correcting digestive disorders, all while soothing the nervous system. V-Spot is the only spa in North Louisiana currently offering the V-Steam service. Can you say exclusive?!?
Vaginas, herbs and steam, Oh My! What to expect?
You can expect privacy. As exposed as it may sound, it's really not. You will remove all clothing in a private dressing room and adorn yourself in a plastic cape that falls well past your knees.
**Before any of this happens, you'll go over a brief medical history questionnaire to ensure there are no major red flags that may not make you a good fit for this service**
How it feels...
The treatment is about 25 to 30 minutes, during which time you will sweat...upstairs and downstairs, but this is where the magic happens. Your pores are open and receiving all of the herbal goodness from your chosen formula. I am a sweater - first to sweat in gym class or any outdoors event - and I am all too familiar with icky sweat. Strangely, this detoxifying sweat doesn't feel icky like your typical gym or humid weather sweat; it's truly a good, clean feeling sweat if you will. I fully expected to remove my cape feeling grossed out but I was not.
I'm only about a week out from receiving the treatment so I can't attest to any long term effects, but I can say that I did experience a clean, refreshed feeling. I am excited to try it again and I think that you should too. They offer couple and group parites. Yes, that's right, there is an A-Steam service for the fellas. So, don't be afraid, things are seldom as bad as they "steam"!!!

Next, you'll sit on your steaming chair (cushioned and covered with a towel) with nothing but your shoulders exposed. Each lady's "situation" is little different so expect having to spread your knees (and other things), adjust and get just right to allow the steam to reach the correct area.

You can customize your steam treatment. V-Spot offers a menu of authentic Korean formulas available for specific needs or wants. I received the V-Spot Signature blend for general uterine health. Expect beautiful herbal smells as the herbs steep and the steam rises. You can also expect some heat, but no worries. Each chair has a digital remote that gives you full control of the amount of heat that feels comfortable to you, ranging from a scale of 1 to 10.
