Yesterday as I sat in the doctors office, filling out what seemed like ten thousand sheets of paperwork, I noticed that things weren't as sharp as they should be and that I was having trouble seeing past a film that was on my contact. Yep the calcium deposits and protein build up had finally gotten the best of my plastic sight savers. I made a trip to Wally World on the prowl for something to cure my little build up issue and found this:
Clear Care Solution
- Hydrogen peroxide 3%
- Kills germs and bacteria that can cause serious infections
- Bubbling action removes protein, dirt and build-up
- Disposable lens case with neutralizing disc
- Travel pack carry-on size
- No rub
- Sterile
I must say it was pretty cool seeing the little hydrogen peroxide bubbles do the dirty work while my contacts got a good "scrubbing". The contacts have to stay in the cleaning case for at least 6 hours to allow time for the solution to neutralize and not burn your eyes, so I let mine soak overnight for a total of 8 hours. This morning they felt like new. My eyes are happy and so am I. The real test is taking them out to soak every night and not letting this happen again...stay tuned.
