Precious Cargo: Handle With Care

The hoarder of pictures failed today.  I. Snap. Everything.  I'm kind of known for it amongst family and friends, but you wont believe that on the 1st day of middle school, I dropped the ball.  We were all a bit nervous.  We were so busy checking and triple checking for supplies and fees and making sure that we were on time at the bus stop, that the person known for snapping photos of everything only managed to capture the school bus as it drove away carrying my precious cargo.

At 7 o'clock on the dot, the bus arrives and I cant speak for my daughter or her dad (yes it was a family affair), but my heart fell into my stomach as the bus screeched to a stop and the doors flew open.  "Have a wonderful first day" I said as my baby loaded her first bus ever!  Mrs. Bus Driver and I managed to catch eyes for a second, we exchanged waves and she closed the doors and drove off.

I experienced both a sigh of relief and slight panic attack.  I felt a sense of "mission complete" mixed with a tab bit of "Omigod, I hope she will be okay".  I'm sure she'll be fine, nervous or not, she's an awesome kid young lady.  This is the beginning of a new chapter in her life and I cant wait to hear all about it...and YES, I will snap photos!
